This wonderful natural material brush really does work. It is an extremely tough plant fiber, from the roots of a grass type plant.
Lasts and lasts, and does not hold on to grease.
Made in Germany. 5.5" (13.5cm) in length.
In just the same way as rice straw, the name rice root is incorrect for this particular fiber, as the material for rice root brushes does not come from a rice plant, but instead from a grass type called zatacon, which grows as a wild plant in the Mexican highlands. The incorrect name probably derives from the Spanish word raiz which means root. In fact the extremely tough plant fiber comes from the finely corrugated roots of this plant, and is used for very hard scouring brushes.
Please remember that this is a natural wood and when exposed to water or humidity it may age. That may include black stains which may be attributed to mold.
